Welcome to our club!!!  As we enter our eighth spring season, it is exciting to have players representing over ten different school districts on our rosters.  It is our hope that this year’s experience will be a rewarding one for the players, coaches and parents.   Our goal is for each player to improve his/her skills by learning to use proper techniques as well as gaining a better understanding and knowledge of the game.  To accomplish this everyone will need to do their part.  The following list of rules and expectations is in place to assist us in accomplishing our goal.

  • Be on time and ready to play when practice is scheduled to start.  Arriving 10-15 minutes early to stretch out is recommended.

  • PLAY HARD!!!  At all practices and games be focused on basketball.  The effort you put forth in practice will show in the games.  Have fun while working hard to improve your game.

  • Parents need to arrive 10-15 minutes early when picking up player(s) from practice.

  • If a player has a schedule conflict, one of the team’s coaches must be notified in advance and as soon as possible.  Anyone missing practice without prior notification is subject to reduced playing time.

  • Coaches are responsible for playing time and will do their best to give each player a fair amount of tournament game playing time.  Every player will play in every tournament game they attend. There may be an exception for discipline problems or injuries.

  • Be positive!!  Encourage your teammates in practice and in the games.  Negative talk or behavior is unacceptable and will be greeted with laps.

  • Show dignity and respect on the court at all times.  No player or fan is to make any negative comment or action toward a referee or opposing team.  Parents and fans are to express only positive support to the players.  Only the coaches are to be addressing the referees.

  • Be well rested for all games.  Staying up late the night before a tournament will only let yourself and your teammates down.

  • Any player using alcohol, cigarettes or drugs at a Chickies Rock function, (practice, tournament, or whatever) will be immediately removed from the team.  There will be no reimbursement of fees.

  • There will be an adult same gender chaperone staying in each hotel room in which there are players.

 Curfews will be enforced.
